In our architecture, we transfer this data highly parallel to a new bit SQL Server instance and do further processing. We have a similar problem with 64 bit clients.

Actually, the password set in DSN are always ignored for SQL driversregardless whether it is on bit or bit platform.

I found friver driver on the installation CD of Progress so I don't need it anymore I thoght maybe Standart version of the CE 9.

Unfortunately, we have our Progress database packages with some software from another company. Remove From My Forums. So finding up to date software for it can be a bit of a challenge. Another solution is to manually add the password into the DSN.

After reading your answer I've found some cases very similar to this one, where the solution adopted was to run a bit instance of SQL in bit emulation mode on the x64 platform.
